Roy & Lumis Garrett
were in business in the Bowdon area for over 20 years. During this
time they were also involved in personal ministry and were leaders
in the local church. In 1987 the Garrett's sold their business to go
into full time ministry, moving to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to attend
Rhema Bible Institute Training Center. After graduating in 1990,
they returned to Georgia and became part of the pastoral staff of
Christ Fellowship, Carrollton. In 1997 with the blessings of their
church, they founded Community Church. We now have a 23,000 square
foot facility with an eventual seating capacity of 750 people. This
will accommodate the various ministries of the church and special
community activities. Their vision is Luke 4:18-19. They desire to
minister God's Word and healing to all people. Roy and Lumis have
been married for 40 years. They have two children and are also
blessed grandparents.
